Product Hunt and Shipit
People ask how we're different from Product Hunt. Short answer: we're not trying to replace it. PH is huge. We browse it too. If you want a big launch day and a shot at their leaderboard, that's still the main stage.
Shipit is smaller and calmer. We rank by clicks to your site, not upvotes. Your listing sticks around after launch day. No hunters. If that sounds closer to what you need, you're in the right place.
How it breaks down
What moves the needle
Product Hunt: Launch-day upvotes and who sees your post, often tied to followers and who hunted you.
Shipit: When someone clicks from your card to your actual product or site. We care about that click, not a number on a button.
After launch day
Product Hunt: Most of the attention is that first day. After that it gets quiet fast for a lot of products.
Shipit: Your page stays. People can still find you through the homepage feed, categories, and search.
Hunters
Product Hunt: Hunting is part of the culture. Sometimes great, sometimes it feels like you need an intro.
Shipit: We don't have hunters. You submit your own product. That's it.

Paste your producthunt.com/products/… URL on our submit page. We pull name, tagline, images, and links. You edit what you want and publish. Usually takes a minute.
Why we built it this way
Upvotes are easy to game or bundle into a "launch package." Clicks to your real URL are messier, but they're closer to "did a stranger actually care?"
We're not claiming we're better than PH. We're a different shape of the same problem: getting your thing in front of people who build and buy software.
