1. What ShipIt Is

ShipIt is a community platform where makers submit products and users discover, vote on, and discuss them. Product rankings are determined purely by community votes, not by payment or promotion.

2. Accounts

To participate (submit products, vote, comment), you need an account. We support sign-in with Google, X (Twitter), GitHub, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

• One account per person
• You're responsible for activity on your account
• Don't share your account
• You can delete your account anytime in Settings

3. Submitting Products

When you submit a product:

• You must have the right to represent it (you're the maker or have permission)
• It must be a real, functional product with a working website
• All information must be accurate; don't mislead users
• Images must accurately represent the product
• You keep ownership of your product; we just display it on ShipIt
• You can edit or delete your product anytime

4. Voting Rules

Fair voting is fundamental to ShipIt. Breaking these rules will get your account banned:

• One vote per product (you can change your vote)
• No creating multiple accounts to vote
• No buying or selling votes
• No organizing others to vote (vote rings)
• No automated voting or bots

5. Comments

• Be respectful; no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks
• Stay on topic; comments should relate to the product
• No spam or self-promotion in comments
• You can delete your own comments

6. Prohibited Content

Don't submit products or content that:

• Are illegal or promote illegal activity
• Contain malware, phishing, or scams
• Infringe on others' intellectual property
• Are pornographic or explicitly sexual
• Promote violence or discrimination
• Are misleading or fraudulent

7. Promotions

ShipIt offers optional promotions to help you reach audiences outside of ShipIt. Promotions are external advertising and never affect your product's ranking on ShipIt. Rankings are always determined by community votes only.

8. Enforcement

If you violate these terms, we may:

• Remove your content
• Suspend or ban your account
• Remove your products from rankings

We'll try to notify you, but aren't obligated to. Serious violations (vote manipulation, scams) result in immediate permanent bans.

9. Disclaimers

• ShipIt is provided "as is"; we don't guarantee uptime or error-free operation
• We don't endorse products on the platform; users submit them
• We're not responsible for transactions between you and product makers
• We're not responsible for the quality or accuracy of submitted products

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We'll update the date at the top when we make changes.
