CursorCamp game

You know that feeling when you stumble onto a website and suddenly two hours have disappeared? For me, that site was Neal Agarwal's Cursor Camp.
But this isn't about Neal's work. It's about what happens when a fan decides "I want to stay in this world a little longer."
I've been spending a lot of time lately on CursorCamp Sandbox (https://www.cursorcamp-sandbox.com) — a completely independent, fan-made interactive sandbox companion. No accounts, no sign-ups. You open a browser and drop into a world with 55 simulated campers wandering around, kicking soccer balls, and hanging out by the campfire.
What gets me is how genuine this project feels. There's no monetization play here. Just someone who spent countless hours thinking, "What if I brought this camp to life?" And so they did — little cars driving along paths, seashells scattered through the grass waiting to be collected, a DJ booth where the music swells as you approach, a full weather system with rain and snow, even water physics that resist your movement when you wade into the ocean or the river.
That creative impulse resonates with me. The kind where you love something enough to build for it. Not a knockoff — a tribute.
Projects like this remind me that the best corners of the internet don't come from big companies. They come from one person, late at night, saying "I have an idea" and opening VS Code. If you haven't tried Cursor Camp or the CursorCamp Sandbox yet, check them out. Neal's original at neal.fun, and the sandbox at https://www.cursorcamp-sandbox.com.
This thing had me grinning at my monitor for nearly two hours. In this day and age, that's worth something.
